Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and managing vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial in a manufacturing environment, where accurate tracking of material purchases, inventory costs, and supplier payments directly impacts production efficiency.

Location: Mount Prospect, IL or Commack, NY

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices for raw materials, equipment, and production supplies, ensuring accuracy and proper approval.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders (POs), packing slips, and inventory receipts to verify quantities and pricing.
  • Work closely with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper documentation.
  • Enter and code invoices into the manufacturing ERP/accounting system (JD Edwards).
  • Monitor aging payables, ensuring timely payments to avoid late fees and maintain good supplier terms.
  • Maintain compliance with tax regulations, purchase agreements, and company financial policies.
  • Support audits by organizing and providing documentation for financial reviews.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve cost-tracking and payment efficiencies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred).
  • 1-3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with three-way matching (invoice, PO, and receipt) and cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with large ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (i.e. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of inventory costing, freight charges, and vendor payment terms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of sales tax and use tax regulations related to manufacturing purchases.

Machine Operator

Job Summary

Machine Operator 1’s are responsible for setting up and operating various types of production machinery equipment. Operators will interact with production team members, quality assurance technicians, and maintenance mechanics to maximize output and efficiency while maintaining a professionally clean environment. Machine Operators use production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment. While performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to dust and laundry detergent smells, and loud noise levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the shift schedule and specifications located within the work area.
  • Load and unload raw materials into processing machinery to maintain a smooth flow of production.
  • Periodically check manufactured product for defects and ensure the level of quality.
  • Ensures that all production reporting & data collection is completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the start of a production line.
  • Set up and calibrate machinery according to specifications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during operation.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clear and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.

Qualifications:

  • Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of machinery/equipment

Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

Background:

Responsible for basic maintenance and repair of facility, including interior, exterior, and vital systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Assists Technicians with installations and repairs of all equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in maintaining facility HVAC units. Perform filter changes and inspect units for issues.
  • Assists in maintaining company chillers, spot coolers, vacuum system, and compressors.
  • Performs minor carpentry repairs and installations of pictures, artwork, bulletin boards, shelving units.
  • Replaces burned out lights in plant and office areas.
  • Assists technicians with disassembling and repairing equipment within the facility (i.e., motors, pumps, packaging equipment, HVAC equipment).
  • Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
  • Identifies materials needed for and completes assigned work orders.
  • Maintains process and utility equipment by performing preventative inspections and adjustments.
  • Starts equipment to test performance.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Fills out Daily Task report which lists daily activities performed.
  • Adheres to all company safety and ISO policies and procedures and all online training.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • OSHA Certification for safety compliance.
  • Mechanical Systems Certifications (e.g., NCEER, or similar).
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Proficiency with power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.
